I had a couple of both really good and miserable days. I've been infuriated (twice, by the same person). My best buddy came back to our hometown for a week (too bad he doesn't come more often). The weather oscillates between awesome and awful (the latter at the moment). I went bowling for the first time (and it's fun). Caught a nasty bloodsucking tick (luckily not disease-bearing). Got a very nice birthday card (first ever). Got my hands burned by intense sunlight (fool me). Went through a handful of medical tests (relatively healthy). Finished a completely digitally made painting (first selfportrait after ages). Was ill for a week (sneezing all the time). Read a 700+ page book completely in English (still can't understand every single word). While I didn't get my usual summer job, I have an interview for another one tomorrow (dunno what to expect). The whole flat is a mess (walls get repainted). Aargh (waa)!
By the way, I'd like to draw a lizard or snake, but haven't find any image between the stock photos that I'd really like yet. Anyone knows about some cool refs?

Do you celebrate namedays by the way? We do
Daavid's nameday is on New Year's Eve

We do, but each country has its own slightly different nameday order, so it's a bit... messy. So my grandparents of Hungarian descent were celebrating their namesdays according to Hungarian calendar, other family members according to Slovak calendar. I was also congratulating to a couple of Czech friends when there wasn't their namesday according to their calendar on occasion or two
For my name, it's 30th December in all interested party's birthcountry (CZ, SK, HU) as far as I can tell
On 31. Dec is Silvester's namesday here, and we simply refer to that day as "Silvester". While "New Year's Eve" can be easily translated to "predvečer Nového roka", generally nobody ever says that, too clumsy in my opinion
My nameday (according to our calendar) is on 21st of July.
It hasn't been there for a very long time (it was added after the year 2000). There has to be at least 2000 people with the same name in order to get that name into the calendar.
And my birthday is on 6th of August

I didn't know that it's decided according to people count; in fact, I'm not aware of who is in charge of adding names to calendar at all
Hmm, I won't be around for some days in second half of the July, but I guess I'd be able to congratulate you on your birthday at the right time
