Intro

Mon Dec 1, 2008, 6:01 AM
I felt like having a short introduction journal and I really should mention the clubs i'm in somewhere, so here it goes.

I've been drawing since I was a little child. Even on walls of my room; my mother saw it as a bad idea though, so my wall-painting career was harshly stopped. :D
I started drawing "seriously" in 2005, when I was shown :iconzindy:'s page with pencil-drawn portraits. I was watching the page for several hours that day; I was really really impressed and I knew that it's something I want to try. There was a forum too, so I joined and found many talented, kind and helpful people around there, too. I joined DA some time later.
I don't post drawings very often; I draw only sparsely in last few years, as you may have noticed. It's the way I relax: I pick something to draw, think about it, try few sketches of it sometimes, draw contours, add some shading and so on - spread this over a few weeks, because I tend to draw only for a couple of hours per week, and you got the image.
As for other hobbies: I study informatics, so I mess with computers a lot. I love riding a bike (great for stress relieving) and ice skating. I read a lot, both because I like to (James Rollins and Robin Cook + some historical books lately) and I have to (comp. related stuff, as you might guess). I also build a couple of paper models per year; it's exciting to form a flat sheet of paper to some three dimensional object (at least for me it is! paper is such a great inveniton ;) ).

Clubs I'm in:
:iconslovakia: club of artists from my homeland! Thank you guys for managing this one for us.
:iconportraitpencilart: I'm a pencil portrait junkie, that's it.
:iconapocalypticsanctuary: 'cause I've been listening to Apocalyptica's music for years and I still like it as much as years ago.

  • Mood: Peaceful
  • Listening to: Sepultura (contradicts mood? not necessarily)
  • Reading: Zamarovsky
  • Watching: huh, the screen
  • Eating: I will be
  • Drinking: mineral water

Lots of similar interests as me! My mum doesnt think it is practical to study art here so I studied biomedical informatics engineering, which also messed with computers alot! And you making paper models, I make cards. LOL. :P

Life is like beautiful lyrics, only it is pretty messed up.

I think I couldn't study art; I'm too picky about what and when I'm going to draw :D And I really started drawing after I decided to study informatics anyways. Now, I should go to bed, I need to draw some flowcharts for school tomorrow :XD:

It's always nice to know how the artist start drawing..
for me.. I loved to draw ever since I was 3!.. just take the pen and doodle for hours.. not normal for a child who gets bored after 5 min max XDD..
my little sister is doing the same as I did when I was young [link] .. hope she'll be greater than me when she get older =v=

I drew on our stairs with a ballpointpen when I was a child... My father didn't like that...

:iconimclod:
why? because you were on stairs or because you were using a ballpoint?
:iconkeijunlilja:
Because of the ballpoint-pen :D .
