V-Wing paper model template by imclod V-Wing paper model template by imclod
V-Wing paper model from the game SW: Rogue Squadron (1998). PDF contains 1 page with instructions and 1 page with patterns.

I wanted to build this model for some time, but no one made one as far as I know so I've build it as a small side-project while working on other models. Patterns are made as vectors and the texture is in 200dpi, so it should cope well with some upscaling.

Enjoy the model and post some photos if you assemble it :)

Edit: fixed some minor issues, added tabs, photo of the final model
Edit2: smaller zip file

The image doesn't look like it's a card model.  Is the download a pdf to assemble the thing as we view it here?

Thanks.

Oh, how funny (embarrassing).  Not only did I forget that I had asked basically the same question before - then neglected to return to see your answer - but ... I did find the model template.

And, now well over a year late, thanks for the response I saw above when coming back to answer my question a minute prior to this.

There's a "download file" button somewhere on the right side, next to the model photo. Or try this: [link]
Good luck with the plastic version! I'm thinking of building one myself.
Have a nice day :)

This is a great looking model. Well done. I don't see the file for the model itself though. I followed the link for the white version but only found the photos of completed models. I'm thinking to build it in plastic, so don't need colours and textures, but would use either.

Cheers.

Paper! Amazing!

School for me too, I'll be preparing for exams soon and then finally - summer!
Yes, paper is amazingly verbatim medium :) I assemble paper models since.. I don't remember, maybe since I was 10 years old? It's (or used to be) an usual hobby around here. Many tried it, but not as many have the patience to carry on, heh.

Thanks Mike! It's been a long long time. How are things? I don't even remember when I drew something for the last time, I hope I'll be able to draw something this year. Surely one can't forget how to draw...or? :D

Incredibly busy, but there are some good changes as well my friend! Surely I'm looking forward to that magnificent piece of yours. So how have you been?

I finally painted something today, though it's a long way from a silly digital painting to realistic pencil drawing. But I'll get there eventually!
I've been incredibly ill for past 3 weeks, so I'm about to become very, very busy with catching on to school stuff: need to finish some projects etc. I earned my bachelor title last year, I'm continuing my education on a university in Czech republic and it's quite challenging. Also the city is quite away from my home, so I see my family and girlfriend less often.
My brother returned from Netherlands, he couldn't find a job for some time and he got ill, so he had to. It's good to have him around; constant fun guaranteed :D
I spend my free time with paper models nowadays: either constructing new ones, or assembling some from bought/downloaded patterns. It's relaxing; sometimes it goes wrong, but - mostly relaxing :D
Hope you're doing well!

Mixed...

I've been really busy too. Heavy refurbishing, 2nd child on its way (actually the third). Haven't got the chance to draw so far. The only time I have for myself is right now, the 10 minutes I'm online and even then I have to cut down.

It is not such great news, but very congratulations on your bachelor. What are you studying? (I can't recall it). It is good to have your brother bad, especially when you're more or less cut off from your family at such distance.

Gah, don't even mention refurbishing... it's given me nightmares :D Congrats to the child! I'm not even thinking of having a family anytime soon, actually the thought scares me a bit.
I'll have some free time soon, the semester ends tomorrow and hopefully I can do my exams within 2 weeks. I want to try some sculpting in summer. Oh, I study informatics. Half interesting, half boring :D

I tried to make it about 1/72 by comparing the wingspan to pilot size. The model's width is 16cm.

This is a very cool paper model. One question though. In the images of the coloured version, one of your friends has an R2 unit of the same scale. Do you know where he downloaded it from?

Thanks! His r2 is from here: [link] , but he scaled it to the correct size himself, so you can use any simple enough r2 model - there are many of them.
